There is no denying that shipping combine harvesters overseas can be a challenge, because of their weight and awkward shape. This may mean that standard containerised shipping is not an option. There are two main alternative methods: Lift-On/Lift-Off (LoLo), and Roll-On/Roll-Off (RoRo).
The most common solution for combine harvesters is the RoRo option, where the vehicle is driven or towed on board the vessel via ramps. It’s a quick and safe way to transport self-powered heavy vehicles overseas.
If for any reason the machinery cannot be driven or towed, the other option is to lift the vehicle on and off board the vessel via cranes, known as LoLo.
